New model KREOS introduced on the market

FAGIMA is glad to announce the introduction on the market of the new model KREOS, a 3,4,5 axis machining center with moving column. 3 available sizes on X stroke: 1600, 2700 and 4000 mm.

IMTEX 2017, TOOLTECH 2017 AND 7TH INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON MACHINING TECHNOLOGIES 2017

Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers' Association (IMTMA) is organizing the 18th edition of IMTEX 2017 and 19th edition of concurrent Tooltech 2017 from 26th January 2017 to 1st February 2017 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC) in Bengaluru. IMTMA has built a new hall of around 17,500 sq.mts. which will be an add-on to the existing infrastructure.

Industry will get an opportunity to showcase its innovations in 6 halls covering a gross area of 66,000 sq.mts. Manufacturers, suppliers, visitors, researchers and delegations from as many as 22 countries will be participating.

The latest addition to Okuma’s MULTUS U Series of highly regarded intelligent multitasking machines is the MULTUS U5000, which boasts powerful machining of mid-to-large size components.

To meet the demand in the growing multitasking machine market, the MULTUS U5000 uses a class-strongest turning spindle with output of 37 kW and torque of 1,413 N-m. GA26W and GP26W Space-Saving CNC Precision Cylindrical Grinders06 Dec 2016

Okuma has developed the GA26W and GP26W cylindrical grinders with wheelhead traverse systems that improve ease of use in small footprints. These high-precision cylindrical grinders improve productivity in a wide range of applications from high-mix, low-volume manufacturing to mass production.

The GA26W and GP26W were developed to provide stable grinding accuracy, space savings, “changeless setup,” and better ease of use.

The Okuma-developed non-round plain bearing (hydrodynamic wheel spindle) enables both heavy-duty and highly accurate grinding to achieve stable high precision over the long term. OSP-AI—Diagnostics Technology for Machine Tools

Okuma has developed the OSP-AI Diagnostics Technology system as a practical application of AI (artificial intelligence) for machine tools, an enhancement of its Intelligence Technology.

OSP-AI is a technology that self-diagnoses machine abnormalities to determine the status of feed axis conditions that are often difficult even for veteran maintenance personnel to identify. It is based on a sophisticated knowledge of basic mechanical properties, and with Deep Learning-infused artificial intelligence it provides highly-reliable self-diagnostics.

AI has been incorporated into machine tool CNC systems for the first time in the world, and different lamp colors are displayed for normal and abnormal diagnostic results. Different lamp sizes also make it easy to determine different diagnostic certainty levels. This enables beneficial, preventive maintenance that doesn’t require expert knowledge or special measuring devices.

Okuma Introduces the V920EX High Precision Vertical CNC Lathe

Okuma has launched the new V920EX high precision vertical CNC lathe with a maximum turning diameter of ø920 mm.

Simultaneous developments include an ATC to enhance automation and process-intensive applications and a two-spindle model, the 2SP-V920EX, to connect secondary operations for minimum lead times.

The V920EX has a maximum turning diameter of ø920 mm while maintaining the same required floor space as previous models, thereby improving floor space productivity. With Okuma’s Thermo-Friendly Concept, stable high machining accuracy is achieved with dimensional change of ø15 μm or less with room temperature changes up to 8°C. In addition, use of the new ATC on the turning application turret makes it possible to combine on a single machine operations that previously had to be separated on two machines, significantly shortening lead times.

The V920EX will contribute significantly to production innovations in machining the large parts used in the aerospace, energy, large truck and automobile, and transport machinery fields.

Small parts machining made easy with latest Haas CM-1 Compact Mill

For machine shops seeking a high-specification compact mill engineered for small parts and tight spaces, Haas Automation Europe’s new generation CM-1 delivers with its 30,000 rpm spindle and five-axis capability.

Small parts manufacturing can pose significant machining challenges for the average job shop. Tiny holes, minute features, extreme accuracies and fine surface finishes may prove difficult for larger CNC machines. The answer to these challenges is the Haas CM-1 Compact Mill, a small-footprint, high-accuracy machine suited to both high-volume production and the prototyping of small, high-precision 2D and 3D parts, such as those found in the communications, aerospace, medical and dental industries.

Small enough to fit into most freight elevators, the CM-1 features 305 x 254 x 305mm travels in the X, Y and Z axes respectively, a 508 x 254mm T-slot table, a 30,000 rpm, 3.7kW ISO20 taper spindle and a 20-pocket automatic tool changer. Maximum cutting feeds are 12.7m/min, with rapids to 19.2m/min for reduced cycle times.

The CM-1 comes with the Haas Next Generation Control (NGC), a fast, smart, smooth and aesthetically pleasing CNC that offers class-leading ease of use. Customers get straightforward, highly intuitive navigation, DWO (Dynamic Work Offset) and TCPC (Tool Center Point Control) - to simplify four- and five-axis machining, as well as a new VPS (Visual Programming System) to generate G-code programs. Further standard features include co-ordinate rotation and scaling, 1GB program memory, Ethernet interface, power failure detection module and HaasConnect mobile monitoring.

Among the array of available options, customers can choose to add a 50,000 rpm spindle, a Wireless Intuitive Probing System, expanded memory to 64GB, WiFi connectivity, 4th- and 5th-axis drives and a TRT70 dual-axis rotary table.

The TRT70 can provide high-speed, accurate positioning for 3+2 and full five-axis machining of small parts. Its small size and light weight make it ideal for the new CM-1, especially as indexing speeds to 620 deg/sec on the rotary axis help ensure short cycle times.

Small footprint, big bore turning centres unveiled by Haas

Any machine shop seeking more bar capacity without the space requirements of a large lathe will be pleased to learn that Haas Automation now offers a complete line of big bore, small footprint turning centres, the latest additions to which are the ST-15 and ST-15Y (Y-axis version, which will be available in Q1/2017)).

The new ST-15 and ST-15Y provide greater bar capacity, larger spindle nose, larger chuck, and more spindle power than the ST-10, but with the same compact footprint. The machines can accommodate bars up to 63.5 mm diameter, and offer a maximum cutting capacity of 356 mm diameter by 406 mm length (305 by 406 mm for the ST-15Y), with a swing over the cross slide of 406 mm.

The ST-15’s A2-6 spindle nose has an 88.9 mm bore, while the 15 kW vector dual-drive spindle turns to 4,000 rpm and provides 203 Nm of torque at 500 rpm. Furthermore, on-the-fly wye-delta switching yields a wide constant horsepower band for constant surface feed cuts, which are supported by 30.5 m/min rapids and fast turret indexing. It is equipped with a 210 mm hydraulic three-jaw chuck and a 12-station VDI-turret.

The ST-15Y adds 102 mm of Y-axis travel (±51 mm from the centreline) for off-centre milling, drilling and tapping. It comes as standard with 6000-rpm live tooling and a full C axis for versatile four-axis capability, as well as a 12-station hybrid VDI/BOT turret. Further standard features include rigid tapping, I MB program memory, a 15" colour LCD monitor, and a USB port, while among the available options is a tailstock with hydraulic quill, high-pressure coolant systems, an automatic tool presetter, a belt-type chip conveyor and an Ethernet interface, as well as the Haas Intuitive Programming System and Haas Bar Feeder.

An additional option currently in the final phases of development is a sub-spindle for the ST-15Y, which will be available by the end of 2016.

На XV Международном инвестиционном форуме "Сочи-2016" был подписан контракт по модернизации производства в рамках проекта по строительству Ульяновского станкостроительного завода.

Министр промышленности и торговли Денис Мантуров, губернатор Ульяновской области Сергей Морозов, управляющий директор "Гильдемайстер Бетайлигунген ГМбх" Дирк Хульманн и генеральный директор "Ульяновского станкостроительного завода" Алексей Антипин подписали специальный инвестиционный контракт по модернизации промышленного производства в рамках проекта по строительству Ульяновского станкостроительного завода.

"Специнвестконтракт с концерном "ДМГ Мори" в лице "Гильдемайстер бетайлигунген ГмбХ" по модернизации промышленного производства подписан в рамках проекта по строительству Ульяновского станкостроительного завода с объемом привлекаемых инвестиций более 4 млрд рублей. В результате его реализации планируется организовать выпуск современной продукции – металлообрабатывающих токарных и фрезерных станков.

Проект, рассчитанный на десять лет, позволит не только обеспечить локализацию и адаптацию конструкторско-технологической документации для шести современных высокотехнологичных видов станкостроительной продукции, но также сформировать устойчивую потребность в развитии отечественных комплектующих надлежащего качества.

Объем инвестиций в рамках данного спецпроекта оценивается в 70 млн евро. Глава Минпромторга РФ заявил о том, что к к 2018 г. на Ульяновском станкостроительном заводе будет производиться 1200 токарно-фрезерных станков шести типов в год. По словам Дениса Мантурова, это будет крупнейшее станкостроительное предприятие в Европе.

Он также отметил, что при Ульяновском станкостроительном заводе создается инжиниринговый центр, где отечественные специалисты смогут разрабатывать новые технологические решения. В дальнейшем данные решения будут реализовываться "в промышленных объемах и поставляться не только на российский, но и на внешние рынки".

Уровень локализации производства на предприятии, по словам главы Минпромторга, к 2018 г. должен достичь примерно 70%.

В системе NX от компании Siemens реализована революционная технология проектирования - объединенное моделирование

В новейшей версии NX™ (NX 11) от компании Siemens системы реализована революционная технология проектирования изделий - объединенное моделирование (Convergent Modeling). Это абсолютно новый подход, существенно упрощающий работу с геометрией, представляющей собой набор фасетов, точных поверхностей и твердых тел, без необходимости тратить время на преобразование данных. Объединенное моделирование — первая технология подобного рода, которая помогает оптимизировать конструкцию деталей, изготавливаемых методом 3D-печати, ускоряет процессы подготовки производства и позволяет широко применять методику реверсинжиниринга.

В NX 11 введены улучшения во всех процессах автоматизированного конструкторско-технологического проектирования и инженерных расчетов (CAD/CAM/CAE).

Представлено 3D-CAE-решение нового поколения, основанное на недавно вышедшей системе Simcenter 3D. Эффективность CAM-модуля повышена за счет поддержки роботизированных станков и гибридного аддитивного производства.

«Siemens продолжает инвестировать в разработку основных продуктов компании. Мы создали инновационную технологию объединенного моделирования, которая, по нашему мнению, перевернет весь мир автоматизированного проектирования, — заявил Джо Боман (Joe Bohman), вице-президент по системам разработки изделий компании Siemens PLM Software. - Мы полагаем, что объединенное моделирование станет критически важным инструментом для работы c фасетной геометрией. Новая уникальная технология должна существенно сократить затраты времени и ресурсов, а также устранить необходимость в нередко приводящих к появлению ошибок доработках сканированных моделей. Данная технология также устраняет ограничения, связанные с традиционными видами CAD-моделирования, при оптимизации геометрии для получения деталей методом 3D-печати.

NX11 упрощает процессы проектирования, способствует переходу к аддитивному производству и помогает полностью раскрыть творческий потенциал разработчиков».

При проектировании изделия необходимо учитывать имеющиеся материалы и доступные технологические процессы. Инновационные технологии, как аддитивное производство, открывают совершенно новые возможности по созданию деталей с формами, обеспечивающими наилучшие технические характеристики изделия. Разумеется, традиционные методики CAD-моделирования ориентируются на традиционные технологические процессы. Они имеют существенные ограничения в плане оптимизации геометрии деталей, изготавливаемых процессами аддитивного производства. Объединенное моделирование устраняет эти ограничения. Конструктора получили возможность быстро и гибко создавать новые оптимальные формы, ориентируясь на материалы и процессы трехмерной печати.

Кроме того, объединенное моделирование упрощает работу со сканированными моделями. Сканирование 3D моделей в ходе проектирования изделия находит все более широкое применение в таких отраслях, как автомобилестроение, производство потребительских товаров и медицинской техники. Так называемый «реверсинжиниринг» уже созданных конструкций всегда был дорогостоящим и трудоемким процессом: полученные сканированием фасетные данные приходилось вручную преобразовывать в поверхностные и твердотельные модели, пригодные для дальнейшего использования.

Особенно трудоемким оказывалось преобразование моделей неправильной формы, предназначенных для 3D-печати, проектирования пресс-форм, прочностных расчетов и т.д. На реверсинжиниринг могут уходить дни и недели. Объединенное моделирование существенно сокращает объемы ручной работы. В NX 11 можно непосредственно использовать сканированные фасетные данные. Больше не требуется вручную создавать поверхности, твердые тела и другие элементы геометрии.

Объединенное моделирование позволяет сразу применять отсканированную модель в проектировании пресс-форм, включать такую модель в сборку, выполнять расчеты и в целом применять к ней все обычные CAD-команды. Появившаяся в версии NX11 новая функция «3D-печать» обеспечивает распечатку 3D-моделей непосредственно из NX, что существенно упрощает процессы аддитивного производства. Таким образом, создан принципиально новый процесс сканирования, редактирования и печати. Он основан на технологии 3D-печати компании Microsoft и поддерживает формат 3MF.

В версии NX 11 введено еще немало заметных усовершенствований. Теперь все задачи численного моделирования в NX решаются на базе Simcenter 3D, позволяющего анализировать технические характеристики разрабатываемых изделий.

Модуль Simcenter 3D, который также поставляется как автономное приложение, обеспечивает идеальную интеграцию между задачами проектирования и расчетов. Данный модуль заметно ускоряет процессы численного моделирования. Он включает в себя лучшие в своем классе средства редактирования геометрии, ассоциативного численного моделирования и междисциплинарные решения, основанные на богатом производственном опыте. В системе имеются быстрые и точные решатели для прочностных и тепловых расчетов, анализа кинематики и расчетов композитных материалов, а также для решения оптимизационных и мультифизических задач. В версии NX 11 у модуля Simcenter 3D появились новые возможности моделирования и расчетов роторной динамики и новые средства оценки внешней и внутренней акустики. Существенно улучшены инструменты анализа повреждений композитных деталей.

Новые возможности NX 11 для технологической подготовки производства повышают гибкость и точность обработки, сокращают сроки программирования станков с ЧПУ и повышают качество готовой продукции. Новые функции программирования промышленных роботов в NX CAM расширяют возможности применения системы при точной обработке крупных и сложных деталей на роботизированных комплексах, имеющих шесть и более координатных осей. Роботизированная обработка устраняет ручные операции (например, зачистку и полировку) и обеспечивает стабильно высокое качество деталей. Кроме того, расширенные функции распознавания конструктивных элементов автоматизируют разработку управляющих программ для ЧПУ в случае деталей с множеством отверстий. Сроки подготовки производства при этом сокращаются на величину, достигающую 60%.
